National salvation govt must replace Kurdistan govt, says senior Gorran member.

SULAIMANI, Iraq’s Kurdistan region,— Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) should be canceled and a national salvation government should be formed, a senior Change Movement (Gorran) member said.
Gorran-affiliated media outlet cited Shorish Haji, a member of Gorran Executive Council, as saying the KRG, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) have failed in governing the Kurdistan Region.
“The KRG must resign as Massoud Barzani resigned and a national salvation government should be formed in its place,” Haji added on Monday (November 6).
The duty of the national salvation government is to make preparations to hold elections and to discuss with the central government to preserve the rights of the region’s people on the basis of constitution,” he continued.
The KRG cannot defend the rights of the Kurdistan Region’s people through dialogue because it has “failed”, the member of Gorran executive council said. The KRG is ready to waive everything for Baghdad to remain in place.
Tensions have soared between the former allies in the war against Islamic State (IS), since
a Kurdish vote for independence last month.
KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani said on Monday the government was ready to hand over its remaining oil resources to the Iraqi government in exchange for 17 percent of the Iraqi budget for the fiscal year of 2018.
Barzani added; the KRG wants to resolve the outstanding issues with the central government according to the Iraqi constitution.
To begin talks, the Iraqi government has stressed the KRG must cancel the results of the Kurdistan referendum, which saw nearly 93 percent of voters choose ‘yes’ for independence.
