President Barzani Expresses Full Support to Kurdistan Region's Integrity Commission.
Salahaddin, Kurdistan Region (KRP.org) – In a meeting with the newly-appointed head of Kurdistan Region’s integrity commission, President Masoud Barzani expressed his full support to the new commission.
The Kurdistan Region Integrity Commission is an independent entity tasked with preventing and investigating corruption at all levels of the KRG government, and is answerable to the Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament.
Mr. Ahmad Anwar, the commission’s head, said he has a difficult responsibly and would need the support and cooperation of all sides.
President Barzani expressed his support to the commission and pledged full cooperation from all KRG government offices, adding that no one should interfere with the work of the commission. He also said that he will also urge the parliament to press ahead with plans to establish the board of auditors.
